Under the heels of my shoes, I wear plastic taps, which provide a thin protective barrier. This wears out the taps instead of the heels of the shoes, saving some extra cash over time since I don’t need the heels replaced. This little video demonstrates how I do it.

A little favor…

This little blog, my social media nonsense and my occasional podcast run on elbow grease, midnight oil and the frequent bad idea. Access is totally free. Any help you can give so I can continue to produce content and keep the lights on would be immensely appreciated. There is a one-time support option or a recurring subscription through Patreon, which also features exclusive content like my one-man podcast ‘Hahn, Solo’. Thank you so much!!!

  1. Very helpful. I’m heading to Amazon now for some taps. Do you put them on your toes, too? That’s the other place my soles wear down.

  2. Use taps all the time. Has saved me a fortune. I also use taps on toes as well.

  3. Great read, thanks for sharing! You’d probably also really like derivewear.com
