All Songs Considered – Fall Music Preview (@allsongs)
Our friends at NPR Music have composed their list of new releases to look out for this fall. You can to the very tight 60 minute preview show with hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton, which gave a taste of all the coming offerings. You can also visit the episode page and listen to the showcased songs individually.

Nick Lowe on Fresh Air (@nprfreshair)
The singer and songwriter who brought us “Cruel To Be Kind” and “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding” has released his 13th solo album, titled The Old Magic. Great interview with Fresh Air host Terry Gross (the Charlie Rose of public radio) and, most importantly, great music. Lowe plays some songs from the new record, which is available for download on iTunes. “Stoplight Roses” actually made me cry. Fantastic stuff.

All-In-One Photo Apps For iPhone (@macworld)
There’s the Camera app, Flickr app, Instagram, Facebook and a horde of other photo apps that have specific functions for sharing, filters and whatnot. Our friends at Macworld have graciously highlighted eight apps that do it all. For the record, I’m kinda partial to the Camera+ app.

Brave GentleMan (@BraveGentleMan)
This smart New York City outfit features principled attire & smart supplies for intelligent men: pants, tops, shoes, outerwear, accessories, and products for grooming + home. They’re also doing custom suits. All of the merch is animal-friendly, incorporating expensive but very well-done faux leathers. Not necessarily cheap, but dammit, it’s great-looking stuff. I wholeheartedly approve.

TypoDesignClock For iPad (@katsushinakano)
App developer Katsushi Nakano has created a rather sexy way to reference the day, date and time on the iPad with the TypoDesignClock (.99 in the iTunes App Store). With a decidedly minimal and unfussy design, you can choose from a wide range of color schemes and other options for your pleasure. The app is also available as an iPhone app. Sure, I could look at my watch and my huge 4′ x 3′ wall calendar, but this was irresistible.
