This is easily one of my favorite movies of all time. A heist… gangsters… fedoras… guns… a lounge… a girl… a vintage Citroën… Moody, quiet, not a lot of dialog.

Directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, auteur behind several other smart and stylish gangster/guy flicks from the French New Wave, like Le Doulos (1962), Le Deuxieme Souffle (1966), Le Samouraï (1967) and Army of Shadows (1969).
