Over the years, more than a few guys have asked me how I load my pocket squares (hankies) into the breast pocket of a jacket or blazer.* In this brief video, I show how I do it with cotton, linen and silk hankies.
Like learning to tie a bow tie, it takes practice and gets easier every time you do it. There is more than one way to do load a hanky; this is just how I do it. Eventually, you’ll figure out a method and a style that works for you.
* I neither practice nor advocate putting a hanky in the breast pocket of a topcoat or overcoat. I find it a little contrived.

Thanks George – taking some of the mystery and anxiety out of looking good for guys.
Thank you, sir!
Thanks George, you have solved one of my style dilemmas…the mystery of the disappearing pocket square. And as a bonus provided a second use for my shoe horn.
Thank you! That shoe horn tip was very valuable 🙂
My pleasure. My stepdad uses a butter knife, which also works well. Anything smooth that won’t snag the hanky or the pocket lining.
OMG I wish I found your site earlier…. Tks for the tips
With pleasure. Thanks for reading!
