My decision to buy a Brompton bike was not a quick one. But after such long deliberation and careful consideration, I'm very glad I did it.
The Simple and Effortless Style of PUBLIC, NYC
I recently had dinner with Michelle and Jack from Cleveland down at PUBLIC on Elizabeth Street. Good food, nothing too fancy, with a little bit of style… this is what I like in an eatery.
I was duly impressed with PUBLIC’s branding, which had a consistent thru-line throughout the experience, without being obnoxious or hitting me over the head. Matches, pencils, menus… their business cards (pictured above) have a subtle embossed stamp like a notarization. Great attention to detail.
It was all seamlessly tied together with a simple, timeless and seemingly effortless flair that was not over-thought. Particularly refreshing in a market of restaurants that seem to scream at us, jump up and down and do back-flips for our attention.
Big hat tip to the designer or agency behind the branding.
