One of my favorite movies ever made is one of my favorite movies ever made because it was directed by one of my favorite filmmakers (Alfred Hitchcock), it stars two of the most beautiful people who ever lived (Cary Grant and Grace Kelly) and it was filmed in one of the most stunning places on the planet (in the south of France, predominately in Cannes, Nice and the surrounding countryside).
It is arguably the most famous suit in motion picture history. It’s the blue/gray suit with notch lapels, three buttons and no vents on the jacket and inward pleats and cuffs on the trousers worn by Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller North by Northwest (1959).
Because he had unyielding charm… because he could make you feel safe in the face of imminent danger… because Hitchcock hired him multiple times… because he was fucking Cary Grant…
