My luggage sucks. Thanks to another smart entry in the straight-to-consumer disruptor game, it’s about to get a long overdue upgrade.
Away is a slick, simple and brand new carry-on luggage option with quality and features that rival others on the luxury spectrum but at a fraction of the cost. The Away Carry-On is made from tough 100% Makrolon® Polycarbonate, water-resistant YKK zippers and virtually silent Japanese Hinomoto® 360° spinner wheels.
The interior is lined with silk and mesh with a removable laundry bag, a compression divider and a built-in smartphone/tablet charger. They even throw in a leather luggage tag. At 22″H x 14″W x 9″D, it’s the largest carry-on size permitted by the TSA.
The bag is available in black (yes, please), blue, green and sand. The best part? It’s $225. (But don’t tell the bitches in first class as you roll past them with a smarter carry-on than theirs.)
