It’s podcast week here in the Hahn Haus! But not my own. I’m on two different shows this week: The Downtowner and Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident.

The Downtowner

The fantastic podcast about Downtown Cleveland I co-host with my pal Amy Eddings is back with all new episodes starting this week. Episode 9 is all about the rise and fall and rise of the Flats, a storied area along the Cuyahoga River that – in terms of history – is really the cornerstone of Cleveland.

In coming episodes, we talk about parking lots (Downtown Cleveland is riddled with them), American distrust of big cities and their inhabitants, and gays in Cleveland.

Catch the fever and give it a listen. And subscribe! While the show is about Downtown Cleveland, much of what Amy and I talk about applies to all cities in the U.S. And if you rate us on iTunes, I’ll love you forever.

Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident

FUN FACT: Dave Hill and I went to high school together. (And I went to a dance with his sister Katie.) While Dave was home in Cleveland over the holidays, he came by for a conversation he recorded for a new episode of his recently resurrected podcast, Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident.

Dave was one of those guys from high school with who broke the mold and did really interesting things with his life. Smart, hilarious, talented, insightful, he’s a musician, comedian, author and one stylish guy. I’ve always admired his path, his perspective, his sensibility and his tone, and it was great to catch up with him.

If you have any sense, do yourself a favor and follow Dave on Twitter and Instagram.
