In my last post, I wrote about some of my favorite watches (if you’re going to have just one good watch). I neglected to mention a brand that slipped onto my radar recently in the delightful daily email I get from Uncrate: Naval Watch Company. They’re so good, I felt compelled to write this quick and dirty supplement for you.
According to our friends at Uncrate, Naval Watch Company’s roots go back to Switzerland in the 1800s. Revived in Osaka, Japan, and in collaboration with Lowercase, Naval Watch Company has created some of the most handsome and most affordable tool watches I’ve ever seen. Really impressive.
As I wrote in the previous post, I love a watch with a stainless steel case and bracelet. NWC delivers. Depending on the model, the movements are either quartz or automatic, all by SEIKO.
If I were in the market and on a budget looking for style and substance, I’d absolutely give these a look. The prices range from $225 to $375 USD. Fabulous.

A little favor…
This little blog, my social media nonsense and my occasional podcast run on elbow grease, midnight oil and the frequent bad idea. Access is totally free. Any help you can give so I can continue to produce content and keep the lights on would be immensely appreciated. There is a one-time support option or a recurring subscription through Patreon, which also features exclusive content like my one-man podcast ‘Hahn, Solo’. Thank you so much!!!
