Skincare ain’t for sissies. In fact, overall wellness can seem like such a full-time career that people have actually turned it into a full-time career.
For guys, it’s a little tricky. Using moisturizer is still a weird idea for a lot of us, triggering cosmetics companies to repackage the same stuff with a butch design and a “for men” label so that we don’t feel unmanly for using it. (“After-shave balm” was a great way to get men to use moisturizer.) But good skincare is for everyone. It starts with a good diet, plenty of water and plenty of sleep, and continues with a good topical regimen.
Our friends at Bulldog Natural Skincare have conquered this on several fronts with a line of products designed for men by men. Not only does the stuff feel good and smell good, but it actually works. (And it looks handsome on the bathroom shelf.) I’ve been using it for several months now, and I’m loving it.
Newly added to their original U.K. line and soon to be introduced to the U.S. market is the Eye Roll-On. Eye Roll-On? I know, right? But this stuff is terrific. Rhodri Ferrier, one of the founders of Bulldog, was kind enough to send me a tube from Bulldog’s HQ in England. You simply roll it on (like a roll-on, see) under your eyes, and gently rub it in. This cool, soothing and gentle cream contains avocado oil, cucumber oil and Brazilian ginseng extract to reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. I’m hooked.
Not long ago, I wrote about Bulldog after stumbling upon it at Whole Foods. I was impressed with feel of the Original Moisturizer tester and with the high standards of their natural ingredients. And one of the best parts was their reasonable price point, which ranges from $10 to $15 for individual products.
I love Bulldog. And with the Eye Roll-On, I’m loving them even more.
