If you heard a crack in the atmosphere earlier in the day, that was the collective sound of Bond and watch fanatics reacting to something new…
The day after the release of the first trailer for No Time To Die, which gave us a few quick glimpses of Daniel Craig’s new watch, Omega gave us a closer look at the new Co-Axial Master, 007 Edition Seamaster.
The new 42mm chronometer, which will be available in February 2020, is available in titanium-on-titanium or titanium-on-NATO strap. With a black dial encased in titanium and a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the watch is powered by Omega’s Master Co-Axial 8806 self-winding movement, boasting 55 hours.
This new No Time To Die edition is an extremely handsome watch, to be sure, especially with the titanium strap. Gorgeous, actually. But just between us kids… I personally preferred the SPECTRE edition, which had a cleaner, leaner and sleeker design. In fact, the exploding Omega Seamaster given to 007 by Q in SPECTRE was one of the most timeless watches Bond has worn since Connery’s Rolex in Goldfinger. (Fight me.)
Price tags for 007’s latest timekeeping accoutrements? The titanium on titanium will go for $9,200, and the titanium on NATO strap will be $8,100.
