10 min., 32 sec. In our digital age, there is unprecedented expectation and pressure to be always “on.” Armed with smartphones, we’re expected to be available for text messages and emails at any time – even calls, if you’re part of the dwindling population that still uses the phone… as a phone. When I got my first iPhone years ago, I went through the expected honeymoon period with it. I loved all of this handheld accessibility. I still do; I’d … Continue reading →

Les Forges MDK, however, has created something truly special for the iPhone 4. It actually capitalizes on the beautiful look and feel inherent in the iPhone’s design while putting a classic Apple 128K Macintosh skin on it. No word on whether or not it’s available for purchase, but it sure is a fun idea.

I figured it was only a matter of time before LEGO decided to create a game about me. Alas, that time has come. It is called “Life of George,” combining the physical LEGO pieces we all know and love with an iPhone app. First, you get the Life of George product, then you download the complementary (and complimentary) iPhone app. Now you’re ready! The object is just to play and have fun, really… just like me. Continue reading →
