For several years now, menswear has been plagued with a trend that does a grave disservice to the wearer. I speak of the short jacket/blazer epidemic that has adult males looking like air hostesses on Hipster Air.
With a jacket, my goal is an honest fit that conforms to my form, but doesn’t hug and squeeze it. To me, it should be slightly constricting, designed to keep me upright, held together and walking tall.
Skinny, short suits are all the rage right now. Or was that last year? Lapels are wider again. Or was that in the ’70s?…
