Music from the Netflix series “The Get Down” – an early-to-mid ’70s aural orgy of soul, R&B, disco and even some rock in a beautiful blend of the popular and the more esoteric.
This is not a geography I associate with really good funk or disco. But leave it to David Byrne (and DJ Fitz) to curate 90 minutes of something totally unexpected and utterly fantastic.
