New Fall Custom Haberdashery from Indochino
Earl Gray Mini Houndstooth suit from Indochino
As fall approached, I was in the mood for a muted-tone wool suit with a hefty weight in either herringbone or houndstooth. When I saw Indochino
‘s Fall 2013 collection, my eye went right to this one. Part of their fall collection (which they call the Modern Dandy Collection
), this Earl Gray Mini Houndstooth
is featured on the site as a double-breasted situation, which really isn’t my style. So I made some customizations.
I ordered it as single-breasted (one button) with slanted pockets, including a ticket pocket, and wide peak lapels, which is a new feature in their lapel customization options. The lining I chose was black bemberg. For the rest of the jacket customizations, I went with what have become my standard preferences: functional sleeve buttons, functional boutonniere and double vent, with an interior pen pocket and my “George Hahn” interior monogram. I customized the plain-front trousers with side tabs instead of belt loops and no cuffs.
On my way to checkout, I grabbed another one of their new items: a Navy Gingham Casual Shirt. For customizations on this, I went with a medium point collar, two-button barrel cuffs and a diamond configuration monogram (GJH) on the cuff.
With my measurement profile well-established, everything fits perfectly, of course. Now I just need global warming to relax so I can wear my new suit!
