Be still my heart… Levi’s has launched a handsome collection of clothes specifically designed for men who commute on their bicycles. Trousers, 5-pocket jeans, jackets and a shirt, to be specific. It’s called the Commuter Collection.
The trousers are reminiscent of fitted chinos, coming in black, cougar (like rust) and lichen green. They’re a twill made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, giving a good amount of movement for cycling and good shape retention when off the bike. With the same principle of movement and shape retention, the 5-pocket jeans, made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, come in 4 finishes: worn denim, rigid indigo, red ochre and chinchilla.
My favorite parts of the collection are the jackets: the Commuter Trucker Jacket, which looks like a slightly longer denim jacket and comes in an indigo wash, and the Commuter Hooded Trucker Jacket, which comes in black. Both are made with 98% cotton and 2% elastane. The Trucker jacket has a denim weave, and the black hooded version is a twill. (For the record, I have my eye on the Commuter Trucker Jacket. Medium, please.)
The current price tags on the collection range from $78 (trousers) to $128 (jackets).
